Both numbers are on this page for the same reason: they change the work. Altitude decides how long the exterior season lasts, and the drive decides whether a job can honestly be quoted as half a day.

Ten minutes east, more people in it than Sturgis, and no downtown to be the middle of — so it gets treated as a suburb of somewhere else.
Box Elder, SD

Fifteen minutes east, next to Ellsworth, and the fastest-growing town in the area — which makes turnover repaints a normal job here rather than an unusual one.
Colonial Pine Hills, SD

It is on this site because it is on the business’s own Facebook page, and taking it down quietly would be its own kind of editing. But it is not part of the list above and it never will be — a six-hour drive is a different arrangement, not a longer callout.

The list above is the one Manny publishes, and it is not a fence. Belle Fourche, Deadwood, Lead, Hill City, Piedmont, Summerset, Black Hawk — none of them have a page here, and none of them are a no. Ask.
The one thing worth saying up front is the drive, because it is the thing that decides whether a small job out of town can be priced fairly. That conversation takes about a minute on the phone.
